Spring

Perhaps Tomorrow

I dream of water and levitation
Thinking about weeks spent on awkward headinga
Sleeping naked in foreign beds, with foreign sweats
Wishing I was a character in a book

I dream of cheese cloth and shirts worn thin
Old boots with knotted laces illuminate me
A day spent swimming in Germanic mountain waters
The ancient art of spilling cheap white wine

I dreamt I was a fisherman with rough hands
A skin of weathered leather and blue seabird eyes
Living out the rhythm of life with the rolling tides
An ocean of salt water tears

I am a bright fish flopping on white sands
Perhaps tomorrow I will dream of you
